Here is what I'm pondering on for 2014 Mile shoots.

I'm thinking on scoring each distance individually AND combining the scores as a match for everyone who shoots all the stages.

That way the guys who can only get out to a mile or even 1400 can come out and give it a go.  While those who shoot the heavies at each distance will have their own match.

That way guys with .260's, .25-06, 7mmMags etc, can play but not get hammered score wise with a bunch of no hits at 2200

I'm also planning on making some new Mile Shoot hats for the Spring Mile shoot

Similar to the last hats but blue with white lettering, same logo though

2200 is not the limit.  As folks equipment capabilities gets better we will walk it out to 2400 and 2600 and after that find a new place to shoot with 2600+ capabilities

It's completely legal.   The only problem is that it puts you into FR Class (Full Retard), and you might be the only one in the entire country running FR.   Of course, it would set you up for 1st Place in your class, everytime you shoot.

I think shooting the mile is more about just being able to do it and have the facility to accomplish the goal.

The scoring, is the last thing on my mind in this match... bragging rights are cool, but that's about it. So I'm not sure I'd mess with the scoring... keeping track of the hits is fine.

Just my thoughts... 2600 here we come!!!

2600... That's just silly.

I don't care either way.  I just enjoy the challenge of shooting that far.  There's so many variable that come into play when shooting that far.  Just when you think you've got it down, something else throws you way off.

So could we shoot in both catagories?

I'd actually like to try the mile with another caliber.  One that I don't think would work as well past a mile.
What's a click?

you can switch rifles and categories as long as it does not bog down the match too much.

since most of the switching will be at the close targets and probably not the longer ones.

and the slose stuff is way faster
