Great day of shooting.  5 for 5 at 1000.  Moving out to 1400.

It's completely legal.   The only problem is that it puts you into FR Class (Full Retard), and you might be the only one in the entire country running FR.   Of course, it would set you up for 1st Place in your class, everytime you shoot.

  • 1911 - is there anything else to say?
Looks like a hoot.

There are some really great shooters in this area, and the more I shoot the more guys I find.  And the more I realize, that while one of those classes would be fun to attend.  I get a wealth of information and similar type shooting in this area from the local guys.

I think that's one of the things about shooting local matches around here ha opened my eyes too.  There is a lot of really good people to learn from around here, and some really cool places to shoot that I would have nev of found on my own.

Like the guys said above you can learn a lot from the local shooters.
It’s very expensive to learn how to accurately predict were the bullet will hit at long distances on your own and this is why guys will spend the $1500 to take the classes.
The guy in the picture Tony D posted  had to buy us breakfast and we had him hitting a T-Zone @600, hitting 18”X24” at 1436 with his 260 hitting a 18”X24” with my AR-10 @1000 and hitting a 18”X24 with his .223 @600 and knowing how he got there with repeatable results.

This site has been phenomenal for advice.

With how scarce reloading resources are, I have been hitting a lot of the more experienced comp guys up for the starting load data they prefer.

Hell you even helped me fix my compressor in 5 minutes when I was just about to buy another $30 part for it  :P

JMack says we like I was involved, yea right.  Im just the idiot on the trigger most days.  Without his help I would have run out of ammo and patients years ago.  Thanks for the path to follow.  Was fun to watch another shooter ring steel over 1000.  Big smiles and on to a mile.
